The protection of the froglet's habitat is vital for the conservation of this species. The River Street Wetlands are situated amongst River Red Gum herbaceous-grassy open forest wetland, a plant community dominated by River Red Gums (Eucalyptus calmaldulensis), wattles and diverse grasses, sedges, rushes and forbs.
